Research Interests
I am a Computer-Aided Drug Discovery (CADD) researcher alongside web development — co-first author on a manuscript currently under review.
At Northern University of Business and Technology Khulna, in collaboration with University of Dhaka, I designed 9 derivatives of 3 parent flavonoids, ran molecular docking (AutoDock Vina), 100 ns MD simulations, and MM/GBSA binding free energy calculations.
Areas of Interest
Topics I read about and study alongside my coursework. Interests, not credentials.
Cancer Biology
Oncogenic Signaling & Cell Survival
Reading about how cancer cells avoid dying, reshape their surroundings, and keep dividing. Still connecting the pieces.
Apoptosis
Programmed Cell Death Pathways
Learning the two main ways cells are programmed to die, and how cancer cells block those pathways to survive treatment.
Bcl-2 Family Proteins
Pro- & Anti-Apoptotic Regulators
Trying to understand how Bcl-2 family proteins like Mcl-1 bind their targets.
CADD Workflows
Docking, Dynamics & Free Energy Calculations
The methods behind my research: molecular docking, MD simulations, and MM/GBSA binding free energy calculations.
Drug Discovery
Target-Based Screening & Docking
Reading about how docking software predicts binding strength, and what makes a protein a good drug target.
Molecular Biology
Gene Expression & Biochemical Networks
Going back to basics: how proteins interact with each other, and how cells control which genes are turned on.
Where the research stands
The manuscript is under review at a journal, so results and figures are not public yet. I will add a link to the paper here once it is out.
